  2023 GREAT AMERICAN CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Gage Porter, QB, Southern Nazarene,...Porter became the third player in league history to win multiple Offensive Player of the Year awards. He joined Henderson State's Kevin Rodgers, who won three straight from 2012 to 2014, and Oklahoma Baptist's Preston Haire, who claimed the honor in 2019 and 2021. He finished the regular season as the Division II leader in rushing yards, 1,737 and rushing touchdowns, 25. His 7.33 yards per carry ranks second. He led the Crimson Storm to their first winning record at the DII level and an appearance in the Fun Town RV Heritage Bowl. He became the first Division II quarterback with 1,500 rush yards and 1,500 pass yards in a season since Ferris State's Jason Vander Laan, en route to him winning the 2015 Harlon Hill Award. - Great American Conference Football

He accounted for 40 touchdowns, the second-highest total in Division II. He ran for a GAC single-season record 1,747 yards, a total that also ranked second in Division II. The defensive back tallied 84 tackles on the year, three tackles for loss, and one forced fumble.
